EMDR
EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a type of therapy used to help people process and resolve distressing memories, particularly those related to trauma. It has been studied extensively for over 30 years and it one of the leading, most successful types of trauma treatment available. EMDR has been recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Department of Veteran's Affairs (VA) and The American Psychological Association as an effective trauma treatment. EMDR is effective for treating trauma and various anxiety disorders. It’s believed to work by helping the brain process traumatic memories and integrate them more adaptively, reducing their emotional impact.
I am an EMDRIA trained EMDR therapist and have been specially trained to administer EMDR virtually.
